Green Card Lottery: Technical Problem Resolved and New Application Dates for DV-2019.
As many of you may have noticed, the US Department of State's (DOS) website for the Diversity Visa 2019 (also referred to as the "Green Card Lottery") has been down since October 10th due to a technical problem.
DOS has resolved the issue and is now opening a new window for applications for DV-2019.
A new full entry period will begin at noon Eastern Time on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 and will run until noon Eastern Time on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
Only entries submitted during this new period will be accepted and considered for selection in the lottery.
If you submitted an entry between October 3-10, it is no longer considered valid and have been excluded from the system. Please throw away any confirmation number or other documentation that you have received for an entry during this time. Therefore you must submit a new application between October 18th - November 22nd. Entries during the new period will not count as a duplicate entry.
Starting October 18th, you can submit your entries at DOS's DV Lottery website.
